Last week, my family visited us here in Alaska. One of our first adventures was rafting Eagle River. It’s a classic Alaska day trip when the weather’s down, only 30-minutes drive from Anchorage. Upon seeing JJ and Daniel’s hulking physiques, it was obvious we should all paddle the raft rather than me oar it.
The rain was absolutely spanking the surface of the river when we set off—but no complaints from the rafting crew. Daniel and JJ loved the rain and were apparently indifferent to the fact that their $7 Wal Mart rain gear was useless. After about an hour of rafting, we slipped into the woods for a fire. To me, the highlight was cooking dinner and drying off. For JJ and Daniel, the highlight was throwing the two leftover hot dogs in the river. I guess that’s not how they wrap up their meals back in Michigan, that bastion of refinement and culture that it is.
After our rafting trip, we had a long walk in search of Campground Rapids. On the way, we found a big plastic ball on the median of the highway. We carried it to the middle of the bridge, where Daniel and JJ threw it off, hoping it would float down Eagle River all the way to the sea. Unfortunately, it got hung up on a tree branch in an eddy, and that was the last we saw of it.

I'm having trouble understanding why you would be so kind as to pick up "Garbage" (ball) from the median of the highway and then TOSS IT IN EAGLE RIVER, "hoping it would float all the way down Eagle River to the sea".
I'm also having trouble understanding why you would then reveal this information on the world wide net ?????
Please "un-invite" any additional visitors who don't have a problem throwing trash into the rivers and sea !
Thank you.

Rafting it's pretty cool. And this trip sound excellent, but in my case I'm always cold even if the day it's sunny. So I wouldn't like visit Alaska.
