Our little angel turned one today. We feel many things...so lucky to have Ari in our life, blessed by all the smiles and laughter he’s brought us, proud of the sweetheart of a little boy Ari is becoming, and sad that this special period of our life is over—and gone forever. Soon, his crawling and babbling, too, will become a thing of the past.
We didn’t know what parenthood would hold or how we would rise to the task. A year later, I think we feel that Ari’s first birthday is also our celebration for having come this far. Ari’s Grandma and Grandpa from New York are here for Ari’s birthday—which has made the celebration all that much more special. In a very classy move, Ari presented them with their own gift.
As his reward for turning One, Ari got to each chocolate for the first time. Iris made the most delicious chocolate cupcakes, each decorated with a picture of Ari. She also gave Ari a photo album he’ll treasure for the rest of his life. Ari was honored to celebrate with both Iris and Kayla, two very special people in his life.
