My brothers Greg and Mike flew in just for the day from Michigan and Chicago. They called it a "lightning strike" visit. John Muir would be blown away if he knew 100 years after his death that people could cross the continent and come to Alaska just for the day. It took him months to cross the country by rail, cruise up the Inside Passage by boat, then take a steamship into Alaska's Interior.
