Mary paid a king's ransom to get to ride on Martin's sled. She was in a bidding war with the fellow who road with Martin last year. One thing Mary knew that he didn't, was the limit. After raising each other $200 here and there at around the $5000 level, she decided to put him out of his misery--and went straight for the limit.
